Nantucket Poetry Festival Team
Anna Popnikolova
A Nantucket native and class of 2024 Nantucket High graduate, Popnikolova has always loved poetry. Her work has been published in several small presses, and won the Book Festival's Young Writer awards three times. She placed third in the state in Poetry Out Loud in Spring 2024. She is attending Harvard University for her undergraduate degree in Philosophy. She serves on the Harvard Advocate's poetry and executive boards.

Jessie Leitzel
Jessie Leitzel was born in the Pennsylvania mountains and raised in Charleston, SC. She is a Presidential Scholar in the Arts and the author of The Small Hours (2024). Leitzel’s work has been featured in Rattle, The Interlochen Review and Poetry, among others, and was previously commended by the YoungArts foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. She is the Co-founding Editor of Trace Fossils Review, a nonprofit promoting student literary excellence, and conducts research on the contemporary place essay. A student of the English and Slavic departments and member of the Radcliffe rowing team, Leitzel studies at Harvard University.
